Beautiful action shot of Union Pacific 4-6-6-4 #3707. History -Alco-Schenectady, 9/1936, serial #68752 nee-3907, > in 1944 #3807 as an oil burner > in 1949 #3707 as a coal burner > in 1950 #3807 as an oil burner again. The loco was finally retired in August of 1957. Specs - 69" drivers, impressive 255 psi boiler pressure, four 21x32" cylinders, massive engine weight of 566,000 lb, and massive tractive effort of 97,300 lb. Retired in 1950 Arthur Stensvad photo.
